Welcome Parents and Guardians!
You are important to our students' success.
Dear Jefferson Families:
With our continued effort to increase the safety and security of our building, we want to let you know that effective Monday January 22thvisitors during the school day will no longer be able to enter the building on the south side (closest to Memorial High School). Please use our new office entrance on the north side (closest to the Lussier Center). This change applies during the school day. Upon arrival in the morning, students will still be able to enter through the south doors. Please keep this in mind when picking up your student during the school day for an appointment, etc.
Our Winter Dance will be February 8th from 1:43-2:42pm. We will be on an activity schedule that day. There will be dancing, games, snacks for sale and a photobooth!
The ski season is upon us and we have three trips planned this year. Student who would like to participate will need to have signed:
- The MSCR Ski and Snowboard Cautionary Statement
- The permission slip for each individual trip, (these will be handed out separately on the days leading up to the trip).
- The liability waiver for each individual trip, (these will be handed out with the trip permission slip).
- Only if renting - The hill specific rental waiver, (Some hills do not require this).
Attached is a copy of the MSCR permission slip and the permission slips for the first trip to Cascade Mountain happening January 5th.
If you would like to stay informed on the details of ski club this year please fill out the Google Form found at this link: Ski Club Google Form Link

TJMS is proud to celebrate Black History Month recognizing and honoring the contributions of African Americans. Did you know that Black History Month originally began as “Negro History Week” in 1926 created by Carter G. Woodson. In 1976, it became a nationally recognized month-long celebration. The month of February was chosen to coincide with the birthdays of Frederick Douglass and Abraham Lincoln.
This month we will have several opportunities for students and staff to celebrate, acknowledge, and learn about Black History. Our Black History assembly is scheduled for February 22, 2018 @ 1:42 PM.
“Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world”. -Nelson Mandela
We look forward to celebrating this important month with students and families!
