Forward Testing Information: Starting in late March our students in grades 3-8 and 10 th will take the Wisconsin Forward Exam. This is the stated mandated test that is designed to measure student progress in key subject areas: English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science and Social Studies. The annual Jefferson Talent Show is scheduled for Friday March 23rd from 12:30-2:30pm.  The Talent Show highlights the unique talents of our Jefferson students and staff.  


The annual Jefferson Day with the Mallards is set for Sunday June 3rd with the first pitch happening at 1:05pm.  Students who raise their GPA by 0.25 or more from 2nd quarter to 3rd quarter will be eligible for two free tickets to the game.  Student who did not meet the criteria for free tickets, or if a family needs more than two tickets will have the opportunity for by tickets at a discounted rate of $9 per ticket.  Ticket forms will be available after 3rd quarter has ended.

Dear Jefferson Families,

PLEASE SAVE THE DATE! On Wednesday, March 7th we will be having a parent information night for our potential AVID students and parents entering 7th and 8th grades.  I would like to introduce you to our teachers, Ms. Alexander and Ms. Nikolay, as well as talk about our AVID program and expectations.

 Metro EZ Rider Semester Youth Passes are no longer available for sale at Madison Metropolitan School District locations.

Passes are only available through the mail (with FREE shipping) and at Metro’s Administration Office at 1245 E. Washington Ave.

            Jefferson Middle School is looking for parents to chaperone our extracurricular activities. This includes the many field trips we take and evening school dances. Parents must take a back ground check provided by the school district in order to spend the day with us having fun and possibly learning something new.
